 | 24/02/2019 14:29:30RenunciationRenunciation Emmanuel, the spiritual guide of Chico Xavier, tells a story from one of his past lives in the book "Renunciation". It is about the life of a family broken up by force, in the Fifteenth century, by the embezzlement of two individuals giving in to their blind and possessive love. In this adventure, we can follow the life of Alcyone, an advanced spirit, who in all circumstances makes the right choices through unconditional love of others. She does not judge, she opposes but knows how to give up when necessary. She will even sacrifice her life to protect a religious community from the inquisition. The character of Alcyone shows the path to follow in our everyday lives. It is first of all a lively mind, which, despite forgetting, is capable of producing strong analyzes on spiritual subjects. We learn, for example, that the church abandoned the concept of reincarnation quite early, around 550, to replace it with eternal life in paradise or hell. The notion of forgiveness and re-learning is therefore swept away for better domination of peoples. Delicate situations are analyzed and the choices made leave it up to the protagonists to bring their own judgment to their errors. Alcyone regularly sacrifices herself to save the day for her own detractors. The most intelligent among them then perceive their selfishness, the lesson is sometimes hard to face. Some go crazy, others continue their lives without asking the slightest question, thinking that their strategy has worked. Through this book, Emmanuel wanted to show to what extent we can be improved and what is the path to take to reach the Alcyone level, what a lesson! Obviously, it is better to know the notion of reincarnation, often well explained in “The Book of Spirits” by Allan Kardec. You can still read the book “Renunciation” without this preliminary knowledge, but it risks appearing as a simple novel. So thank you to Alcyone, Emmanuel and Chico Xavier! I always remain in awe of such capacities for self-sacrifice, but it’s a good sign, I must be on the right path... good luck to you. |
